Our Purpose

The Kentuck Elementary School PTO is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Kentuck Elementary School by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers.

Get Involved

  • PCA WEBSITE

    Save the Pittsylvania County School (PCA) website (https://www.pcs.k12.va.us/) to access the division calendar, menus, parent portal and more.

  • POWERSCHOOL

    Parent Portal, known as PowerSchool, provides access to up-to-date information concerning academic progress and attendance. Gain first-time access by contacting the office to pick-up your child’s Parent Web Access Letter. Helpful set-up instructions are on the PCS website.

  • DOJO APP

    The Dojo app is the most commonly used and fastest method of communication from teacher to families for reminders and updates. Obtain the teacher’s class code to join during Open House (or contact the office)

  • SAFE CAR LINE PICK-UP/DROP-OFF

    For a safe and smooth car line pick-up and drop off, only right turns are allowed when leaving.

  • VOLUNTEER & ASK QUESTIONS

What We Do

Here Are Just A Few Ways The Kentuck Elementary PTO Helps

  • KEY PROJECT

    Key multi-year project:  Upgrade and replace playground equipment

  • MEALS

    Provide meals for faculty and staff for special events, open house, and parent teacher conference night.

  • COOKIES FOR SANTA

    Provide holiday event for Cookies with Santa where we help with crafts, decorate cookies, provide photo ops with back drops, provide free books, and provide an opportunity for pictures with Mr and Mrs Claus.

  • CHRISTMAS GIFT SUPPORT

    Provide funds for qualifying families to support Kentuck students with Christmas gifts

  • TEACHER APPRECIATION

    Recognize teacher appreciation week with various celebratory events or items

  • SCHOOL DANCES

    Plan and support school dances

     

  • ACTIVITY SUPPORT

    Support miscellaneous activities such as providing prizes for the prize chest for SOL review, copier maintenance fees, field day snacks/drinks as needed, sanitizer and supplies

  • CHRISTMAS GIFT SUPPORT

    Provide funds for qualifying families to support Kentuck students with Christmas gifts

  • NATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

    Celebrate national education week with activities and goodies
